Michael Petruccelli says; Sit down with your family and discuss a family plan. If you are not all at home when the storm hits plan, how will you keep in touch. Where will you all meet if separated by the storm, or something should happen to your home and you must leave. What out of state person will you designate as you official hazard contact person? These are all important things to make clear to everyone in your family. This way if something should go terribly wrong you will all know what to do, which in a sense will keep you all a little calmer.
